The Before: Headboard

So, here is the headboard I'm planning to upholster. I picked it up at a second hand store for $20, which is much cheaper than the materials required to build such a solid headboard, and it even comes with the brackets to attach it to an ensemble bed.

Now, imagine it looking something along these lines...
