Of course, brightly polished silverware can still make a beautiful arrangement for a bookshelf or sideboard. I would mix it in with some contemporary white pieces and books for a beautiful bookshelf vignette.

I love the concept of hanging platters on the wall. Maybe I need to expand my collection!

Or why not create a quirky centerpiece using succulents and silverware? I do love the soft sage greens of succulents when mixed with the softly tarnished tones of silver!

Great post! Fantastic ideas! I don't have any silver any more but it makes me want to go and hunt some down!
ReplyDeleteIn the South, we treasure our silver, especially old family pieces. Love the idea of putting succulents in the silver flutes!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images! I have a whole collection and love pulling it out from time to time. I like it tarnished and sometimes polishing it is therapeudic!
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! I don't have any at all!! I will be keeping eye out from now on
ReplyDeleteI love the silver and am especially fond of the idea of hanging the trays on the wall. I don't have much silver but my oldies do. They have racehorses so they have quite a few big silver champagne buckets, like the first one pictured. I'm going to go and see if mum will donate a couple to my cause on the weekend. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteI love the succulents idea. I haven't seen that done before. Okay I'm off to search through my cupboards lol.
ReplyDeleteThat first photo with the trophy is so beautiful. I have recently gotten into going to estate sales for antiques and home decor, and I think I have a pretty good eye for spotting real silver - but is there a surefire way to determine that something is true silver? Thanks, love your blog! :)
