One look I have been obsessing over recently is an enormous framed photograph. I would love to be able to print one of my travel photos on a large format. These are a few of my favourite examples.

I'm also a fan of the oversized frames. I think you could blow one of your own favorite photos and this would be a very budget friendly way to achieve this look!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to decorate my new home when it's built! We decided to sell our last soon after moving in so I never got to fully decorate - I will be searching high and low for the perfect piece of art! If it were one of my own photographs, it would be even more perfect! Can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this one Anna. Oversized art, particularly photography looks amazing!!!! The fourth pic you posted though is not a photograph; its an amazing painting by Martine Edmur, one of my favourite artists in all the world!!! Many of her works have a photograph like quality to them. She is so talented! I was in Big W the other day and noticed they offer a photograph enlargment service onto large canvas'. I think the success lies in the photo being taken with lots of pixels so it doesn't blur when blown up. Will look forward to seeing what you do,

Canvas prints! We have a huge enlargement of a zebra skin from a photo I took in south Africa. It looks fantastic! Buyer beware, you do get what you pay for, cheap frames will warp over time.
ReplyDeleteI love that photo and kinda painting of that lady that is mostly red.
