Interiors and fashion are often inspired by all things equestrian, from beautiful hats and racewear to the more practical-oriented boots and jackets, and interiors featuring everything from tartans to worn leather.
Whether you like a more subtle nod to the traditional equestrian style in your home...

I recently picked up my own equestrian addition to the household while in Rome...
Well, in celebration of Melbourne Cup and the spring fever, I'm giving you all (whether you're in Australia or not!) the chance to win 1 of 2 Design Kits valued at $299 each. Entering is very - just head over to my Facebook page!
And just think, if you don't need any design help yourself, it could be a wonderful Christmas present!

Great post Anna! You've hit on a personal favourite of mine here. We've have a strong equestrian influence in the study decor - equestrian photography, paintings, a bronze statuette and an original WWI Light Horse saddle!
ReplyDeleteI love that horse head on a coffee table. Quirky but stunning:)
ReplyDeleteWas just rereading this post and thinking how much I like the more subtle pictures and how I like the more obvious ones less, thinking that we don't have any equestrian influence in our house. Then I remembered my husband's saddle (doesn't get much use anymore...) which is on a stand in our living room because we have no space for it anywhere else - it's been there so long I don't even notice it's there anymore - but it can be a talking point for people who haven't been to our house before. So I guess I'm in the obvious influence category after all!
